What does The Portrait Collection Provide to Seniors at Scottsboro High School?

Senior Formals (Tuxedo or Drape)

Senior Cap & Gown Portraits

Senior Casual Portraits

Senior Graduation Invitations

Am I required to get my senior portraits taken at The Portrait Collection?

To have your Formal (Tux or Drape) portrait published in the yearbook, you must schedule a session with The Portrait Collection either in the studio or at the school. We offer a wide variety of dates and times to help with varying schedules. For Casual portraits, you do have an option to use another photographer, however, we do have a selection of affordable packages to choose from. We can take these in our studio, or outdoors on location.

How much is the session fee and what is included?

The Senior Formals Session Fee is $75. It includes three mini sessions (all taken within the same booking): Formals (Tux or Drape), Cap & Gown, and a mini Casual Session (optional.) We will provide the tuxedo and drape for your formals, the cap & gown and you will receive an edited, high-resolution digital image of a photo you choose from your Casual Session with copyright release.

What is the Casual Session and do I have to take casual portraits?

The Casual Session is a very short photography session where Seniors can be themselves. Wear your sports uniform, jeans, shorts, t-shirt, button-down, dress, skirt, etc. We will take two-three poses that you will be able to choose from to use as your casual photo in the yearbook with your formal portrait. SHS yearbook staff will ask you to submit a casual photo. This is a great option for those who need one pose for the yearbook, but you will also receive one edited high-resolution image with copyright release for making your own prints, use on social media, use on invitations, etc.

You may also schedule a casual session with another photographer, but don't forget to submit one to Mrs. Moore at the high school for the yearbook!

For seniors who want a more in-depth session with more poses, outfits and locations, you may schedule a session with The Portrait Collection separate from your Formals/Cap & Gown/Casual session during the summer/fall.

If you choose to schedule a separate casual session with us, you will receive $50 off any Class of 2025 Senior Package. Contact our studio for details!

Will I be able to purchase prints or digital images of the photos taken by The Portrait Collection?

Yes, of course! After your session is complete, you will be able to view and order from our website. We offer a variety of packages that include prints, digital images, invitations, and more.

Remember, for those seniors who elect to take Casual portraits during the included mini session, you will receive one high-resolution digital image with copyright release. You may purchase additional poses, prints, and digital images as needed.

If I need to remake my senior formals, how can I schedule a remake session?

You are welcome to schedule a remake session for your Formals (tux or drape.) There is a $25 remake charge per remake session. These must be scheduled within normal business hours at our studio.

Are the dates in July and September the only time you will offer these sessions?

While the school would like us to get as many senior sessions completed by September, we understand that some students may not be able to get their session completed by then, therefore, we will offer a makeup date in January or February. Any seniors still needing to take their formals or cap and gown portraits after February must come to our studio. The charge for these services after February is $100 due to scheduling needs of the photographer.
